Ok, so bare with me, my first review of a show before so if its not brilliant I do apologise in advance! At the start of the show season I was a newbie to it all, but after joining up with SL* I managed to attend a fair amount of shows, enough now for me to know what I’m doing. But I knew I wouldn’t be camping with no SL* this time as no body was staying at this one…

So I grouped up with the Local DUB lot who I managed to get on very well with straight away and we set off, we convoyed down as a pack of 5 to the show ground, with the night before last minute shopping from Tesco’s - BBQ’s, burgers the lot. On board we also had Pro Biker Sam Pilgrim with his mental van that was a brilliant laugh as well. So after about 2 hour 20 minute drive including stops we got to the showground, now me normally being very JDM I wasn’t really expecting to like this show, but with the swings of things I got into it.

We found the rest of the local lot who had been able to be there for the Friday night, which from what I understood was crazy. But I wasn’t there to experience that! But we set up camp cracked open the drinks and started with the Edition 38 experience! We moved straight away to the show and shine field, which was PACKED FULL of cars! The majority being such quality I was surprised myself! So many Bentley & Porsche rims I couldn’t believe it! One car that stood out in my eyes was a bright yellow Mark 1 Golf Gti. With Yellow BBS rims, absolutely loved it which got me right into things.

All of a sudden I felt a nice firm slap on my arse, from the one and only MAITLAND! Lol. Was nice to see him and Elmo had a bit of a chat, but we were heading separate ways! Only to meet up again by accident near the stage was good to see you lads though! Then I found Aztec just before he went home! But was still nice to see you and say the hellos and goodbyes as such!

After walking around the whole site and getting TONNES of pictures, we headed back and started with the Chill out part of the after noon sitting round in group, was a nice laugh to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones!

When the night life started, we were already waisted, and with a rather eventful night and meeting some bloody mental people, my birthday at Edition 38 come to an end! And the new day started! And so did the cold and fog. Ha.

After sleeping fours up on a single blow up mattress for the night, I decided to vacate and join one of my friends in her Golf Gti with the heating on was very cosy and much nicer than a tent, which has put an idea into my head for a new project.

After everyone was wide awake we decided to pack up camp so we were all ready to leave as the rain had started and my friend was very anal about keeping his tent dry. So we packed up and went walkies again.

After walking around and seeing even more new cars which had turned up. Just on the way out I spotted Odders, Andy, Steve and Sam in the two Corsa’s so went over and said the hello’s again. But as it was starting to heave it down and I had my new camera in the wet I needed to head off! But was once again good to see some friendly faces!

Over all id go as far to say Edition 38 has been my Show of the Year, by a long shot, even though I wasn’t in my car, wasn’t with the people I enjoy shows with the most (SL*) and didn’t have the best night life, the show it self was outstanding and the cars were Bloody Mental!
